2019 Experiential Learning Summit
Are you a learning and development leader or responsible for HR/Talent management at your organization? LeaderSurf is hosting an experiential learning summit that is targeted specifically at learning and talent leaders. This week-long summit combines the curriculum of our LeaderSurf leadership development program with a focus on unlocking the power of experiential learning. In addition to the LeaderSurf curriculum, the participants will come prepared to share a learning and development best practice from their organizations. As a learning community we will share our best practices and engage in dialogue about the challenges we face in developing leadership capability in our organizations.
Daily Learning Modules
Each day we will cover learning topics that include Leadership vs. Management, The Power of Self-Awareness and Building Personal Resilience. These interactive sessions focus on developing the skills necessary to improve leadership capability.
LeaderServe Aid Project
An important component of our program is providing assistance to others. We believe in the power of servant leadership and we model that through our day of caring LeaderServe aid project.
Daily Surfing Lesson
We believe that learning a new physical skill like surfing pushes people out of their comfort zones and into the learning zone. We use the daily surfing lessons as a metaphor for the risk taking required to build greater leadership capability.
Business CHallenges and Best Practices
During our LeaderSurf program, participants come prepared to share a business challenge they face at work. We hold daily business challenge sessions, where the participants address one and others challenges. These sessions tend to be highly engaging and yield great insights.
For the Experiential Learning Summit, we are taking these sessions one step farther. In addition to the business challenge sessions, we will ask each participant to come prepared to present a learning and development best practice from their organization. The hope is that each participant will return home armed with some great ideas that they can implement at their organizations.
Who Should Attend?
The experiential learning summit is exclusively for individuals who have responsibility for learning, talent management and human resources. Our open enrollment programs are for business leaders in other functions. This session is specifically focused on learning and development professionals. The program will grow the leadership capability of those who work in HR, Talent and Learning while exposing them to a new way of developing employees within their organizations. We hope that your organization will consider our unique approach to leadership development.
Cost and Logistics
The cost for the program is $7,200 which is an all-inclusive price (airfare not included). The price covers hotel accomodations for five nights, all meals, drinks, 2 psychometric assessments, learning modules, the LeaderServe Aid project, ground transportation to/from Liberia airport, daily surfing lessons, learning journals and LeaderSurf apparel.
